Turkish police have detained at least thirteen members of the Turkish military over suspected links to Turkey’s Gülen group, accused by the Turkish government of orchestrating a failed coup attempt last July, the Yeniçağ news portal reported on Tuesday.

According to the report, A chief public prosecutor’s office in the Central Anatolian province of Konya issued detention warrants for the 13 military personnel as part of a Konya-based investigation that encompasses Capital Ankara as well.

Thousands of military members have been purged and detained as part of an investigation targeting the Gülen group since the coup attempt.

The group denies any involvement.
