Turkey purge has taken a new turn with the detentions of 37 people including doctos, pharmacists and hospital personnel in Afyon province, as part of an investigation into the Gulen Movement which the government accuses of heading the failed coup attempt.

According to state-run Anadolu Agency, 37 medical personnel were detained on Wednesday.

Turkey has already detained some 43,000 people from all walks of life over coup charges.
