At least 45 kindergartens and day care centers have been shut down over their alleged ties to the Gulen movement since a failed coup attempt on July 15, 2016, according to state-run Anadolu news agency.
Anadolu said Tuesday that the 45 such institutions were found affiliated with the movement and were closed down on the order of the Ministry of Family and Social Policies.
Meanwhile, 237 people were removed from their jobs at the Social Assistance and Soldarity Foundation (SYDV), Anadolu said compiling ministerial data.
Turkish government accuses the Gulen movement of leading the July 15, 2016 failed coup while the latter denies involvement. Apart from the kindergartens and day cares, at least 3,008 schools, dormitories and universities were closed over Gulen links in the aftermath of the coup attempt.
