Arzu Nur Özkan, a 6-month pregnant woman who has been behind bars for over four months due to alleged links to the Gülen group, is heard on a recorded phone call desperately begging for justice to be served in her case, the Bold news portal reported.

According ot the recorded audio conversation, Özkan is heard saying that she can no longer stand the unbearable prison conditions and she is not even able to breathe at nights.

Özkan, who used to work as a teacher at a Gülen-linked private college Kayseri province, is one of the tens of thousands of people who have been sent to jail due to alleged Gülen links since the failed coup attempt. The purge-victim woman was given a jail sentence of 10 years on charges of membership in a terrorist organization.

She says she has regularly been denied access to medical care in prison and thus suffers from a set of significant maternal health problems due to her pregnancy.
