At least 98 people including teachers, doctors, military officers and small business owners were detained as part of an investigation into the Gulen movement, which the government accuses of masterminding the July 15 coup attempt, on Friday.

Police carried out operations in Izmir, Ankara, Aydın, Manisa and Antalya provinces; and took into custody 98 suspects who are accused of giving financial support to the movement.

Turkey has already detained more than 120,000 people over alleged or real ties to the movement.
