Newly emerged video footage shows the moment Turkish police used excessive force against a group of protestors who were fired by a government decree in the aftermath of a July 15 coup attempt in Turkey.
In the 45-second video, posted by Ozguruz.org news portal, protestors were assaulted by a group of police officers and taken into custody for publicly protesting their dismissals under post-coup emergency rule.
More than 130,000 people have lost their jobs over alleged or real ties to Turkey’s Gülen group, which the Turkish government accuses of masterminding a July 15, 2016 coup attempt.
