Hüsnü Salih Güder, the former rector of Hatay Mustafa Kemal University (MKÜ) was arrested along with 14 other faculty members, on accusations of having ties to the Gulen Movement, which the government pinned the blame for the July 15 coup attempt, on Friday.
Among the arrestees are professors, associate professors and assistant professors.
Nearly 23,000 people from all walks of life have been under arrest since the failed coup attempt.
