İhlas Holding CEO Cahit Paksoy is among the businessmen who were detained as part of an investigation into July 15 coup probe.

Turkish police on Tuesday launched simultaneous operations against more than 40 companies in Istanbul over their suspected links to a failed military coup attempt.

Most of the companies raided by police belong to Akfa Holding and the A101 discount supermarket chain.

Paksoy worked at Akfa Holding prior to his employment at İhlas Holding which owns pro-government daily Türkiye and the İhlas News Agency.

Fikret İnan, the owner of renowned construction firm Fi Yapı is also among other businessmen detained in Tuesday operation.
