Aziz T., a former deputy police chief detained near Turkey’s Greek border on Apr 12, was put in pre-trial arrest on Tuesday.

Aziz T spent 13 days under police custody.

Dismissed as part of the government’s post-coup crackdown against the Gülen movement, Aziz T was rounded up along with 6 others in Muğla’s Marmaris district while allegedly on way to Greece’s Rhodes island.

Aziz T. was sent to the Black Sea province of Sinop where he was arrested on Apr 25.
