Former deputy of the ruling AK Party Sukru Onder has been detained as part of an investigation into the Gulen Movement, which the government accuses of masterminding the July 15 coup attempt.

Police detained Onder in Yalova, on Thursday.

Şahin served as AK Party deputy between 2002 and 2007. The prosecutor overseeing the investigation accuses Sahin of having used ByLock, a mobile application claimed to be the once-top communication tool among Gulen sympathizers.

Turkey has already detained some 120,000 people and arrested 50,000 amid coup bid crackdown.
