At least 4 teachers were detained as part of an investigation into the Gulen movement early Tuesday.

Detention warrants were issued for 6 teachers Aksaray, Ankara, Konya and Kırşehir provinces while police were able to locate 4 of them at the time of this writing.

State-run Anadolu news agency said the teachers were earlier removed from their jobs over links to the Gulen movement, which the government accuses of masterminding the July 15, 2016 coup attempt.

The movement denies involvement in the abortive coup however, over 125,000 people have already been taken into custody over ties to the group so far.
