A purge-victim Turkish judge is trying to rebuild his life after he was fired from his job with a government decree issued under post-coup emergency rule in 2016.

Eyüp Sarı’s extraordinary story is featured an online TV station on YouTube, known as KHK TV, established in a bid to raise awareness about their problems and get their jobs back.

Sarı was fired from his job in the aftermath of a coup attempt on July 15, 2016 over alleged links to the Gulen group, which accused of the masterminding the attempt. The group denies any involvement. Following his dismissal, he had been held in a pre-trial detention for two years over similar accusations. Following his conditional release from the prison, he returned to his hometown of Mut.
