A 59-year-old Turkish man with Parkinson’s disease briefly detained by police over alleged links to the Gulen group, which the government accuses of masterminding a coup attempt in 2016. The group denies any involvement.

According to journalist Sevinç Özarslan, İbrahim Karakoç was detained in Isparta province early on Wednesday and then taken to Afyon for interrogation. He was released after spending a day under police custody.

Karakoç also has single-sided deafness.
