A court in Turkey’s Karabuk province has ruled to place five female university students in pre-trial detention over alleged links to the Gulen group, which the government accuses of masterminding a coup attempt in 2016.
The group denies any involvement.
Four others were released from police custody on probation.
According to the Bold news portal, police accuses the arrestees of attempting to re-establish the Gulen group.
