An unknown group of people have attacked the booths of opposition Felicity Party (SP) as the party leader Temel Karamollaoglu announced his candidacy for the presidential election on June 24.

The stand set up as part of a support campaign for Karamollaoglu in Ankara’s central Kizilay Square was attacked and the party supporters around were insulted, according to media.

Party leaflets and other material were scattered around after the attack.

The assault marked the first of its kind in Turkey’s 2018 election period.
