The president of the Opposition IYI Party’s youth branch in Adana’s  Cukurova district has been detained as part of an investigation into the Gulen movement.

Adana police on Saturday detained 25 university students over their alleged Gulen links.

Among the detainees is 24-year-old medical faculty student, identified as S.B., who is also the head of IYI Party’s youth branch in Cukurova, state-run Anadolu news agency reported Sunday.

Turkish government blames Gulenists for the July 15, 2016 failed coup while the latter denies involvement. More than 150,000 people have passed through custody over Gulen links so far.
