Newly emerged video footage shows the moment Turkish police used excessive force against tens of demonstrators who march in İstanbul to mark the 100th anniversary of the 1917 October Revolution.
According to the Gerçek Gündem news portal, at least 10 people were detained by police in İstanbul’s Kadıköy district on Saturday during a meeting held by Socialist Youth Associations Federation (SGDF).
This month, the world remembers 100 years since the 1917 Russian revolutions.
The revolution in 1917 marked the beginning of a new political system in action – a system known as communism.
Communism ended up being a big influence on world history until the demise of Soviet Union in 1991.
