The Independent Industrialists and Businessmen’s Association (MÜSİAD) is ready to take all necessary actions to fully root out any businessmen related to Gülen Movement, Nail Olpak, the president of the organization is quoted by Daily Sabah.

Olpak also said MÜSİAD has been carrying out investigations to cancel the memberships of Gülen sympathizers, if any.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, as well as the government, has been accusing the faith-based Gülen movement of masterminding the bloody coup attempt erupted on July 15. The movement has repeatedly repudiated such claims, condemning any intervention into democratically elected administrations.

Turkey’s Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci said during an earlier rally: “These traitors are going to be punished according to what the public calls for. Not only the death sentence, we are going to punish them so that they will beg to be killed to escape suffering.”
