Pro-Kurdish Amedspor has been attacked by nationalist fans of Konya Anadolu Selçukluspor after its 3-0 victory in an away game on Sunday.

While the Diyarbakır-based club defeated Selçukluspor in the third division match the team bus was attacked before it left Konya, a central Anatolian province that is home to nationalist conservatives.

“A heinous attack to the team bus,” the club’s Twitter account said after the incident.

Pictures shared on Amedspor’s Twitter account showed that some windows of the team bus were shattered.

Amedspor was also reported to have been subjected to intimidating slogans during the encounter early on the day.

Another pro-Kurdish football team Cizrespor was also attacked after its defeat against the opponent Bayburt Grup Özel İdare Gençlikspor (Bayburt GÖİ).
