Naciye Türemiş, a 65-year-old Kurdish woman from Bitlis province, was sent to prison by a Turkish court on Saturday over alleged terror accusations, the Bitlis news portal reported.
Türemiş, who has reportedly been diagnosed with advenced kidney and uterine diseases, is incarcerated in Bitlis L type prison.
The woman is accused of having a membership in a terrorist organization and disseminating terror propaganda during public marches she attended between 2013 and 2015.
Along with the purge-victim woman, another Kurdish man named Erol Orak, 55, was also arrested on similar charges and sent to the same prison.
