At least 42 people were detained by in midnight raids across İstanbul for “providing moral and financial support” to the families of Gulenist purge-victims.
According to the Turkish media, among the detainees are teachers, former police officers and several health workers.
ppolice accuses the detainees of attempting to re-establish the Gulen group, which is accused by the Turkish government of masterminding a coup attempt in 2016.
The group denies any involvement. More than 500,000 people have been investigated over ties to the group in Turkey so far.
