Ayşenur Parıldak, a Turkish journalist for the now-closed Zaman daily, has been released from prison after serving a six-year jail term on charges of membership in a “terrorist” organization.

Parıldak took to Twitter on Tuesday to let everyone know that she is now a free woman.

“Hı everyone. I’m back after a six-year-long break. As many of you, I have seen and lived a trough a lot. I just wanted tell you that everything passes,” she tweeted.

Parıldak was arrested in August 2016 and then sentenced to 7 years plus 6 months in prison on charges of membership to a terrorist organization in 2017.
