Turkish theologian Ömer Döngeloğlu said US-based Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen was an “infidel with corrupt blood,” and made it clear that there will be no mercy for people affiliated with Gulen movement, which the government accuses of masterminding the July 15 coup attempt.

In a video footage released on social media last week, Döngeloğlu is seen speaking to a crowd regarding the failed coup attempt on the night of July 15.

During his speech, Döngeloğlu curses Gulen movement and the US-based Fethullah Gülen, who lives in self-imposed exile in Pennsylvania.

Here is what Döngeloğlu said:

-That American dog, that infidel called FETO whom we have nursed in our bosom.
-You dog.
-We did not know about these Muslim satans.
-We did not know about these American puppets.
-You infidel! Are you still expecting mercy?
-That pig-faced infidel called FETO has corrupt blood.
-He is nothing but a dog of bad blood.
-He is going to lead a dog’s life.
-Your holy book is [in the US].
-Your religion is there [in the US].
-You are hiding in America.
-The head of the Directorate of Religious Affairs told us not to bury their [Gulenists] bodies in Muslim cemeteries. He told us not to bring their [Gulenists] bodies to mosques. What more do you [Gulenısts] want God to show you? They [Gulenists] failed to find a place to hold a funeral in Ordu. They buried [their friends] on the roadside, like dogs.
