Five people were jailed pending trial over their alleged ties to the Gulen movement in Turkey’s Nigde.
Media reported that aid organization Kimse Yok Mu’s local representative in the central Anatolian province of Nigde were detained along with 4 others during a police raid at an apartment in another province, Mersin.
The Nigde court overseeing their case jailed them pending trial.
The arrestees include 3 businessmen and a woman whose occupation was not revealed at the time of writing.
Turkish government accuses Gulenists for the July 15, 2016 failed coup while the latter denies involvement. Some 90,000 people, among them thousands of civilians, have been jailed pending trial over Gulen links since the summer of 2016.
