An armed attack was staged on the house of Mehmet Arslan, an actor-turned-politician who is among founding members of the opposition Good Party, on Sunday.

A video footage obtained by Turkish media outlets shows that two masked people stopped their scooter outside Arslan’s home in Istanbul’s Bagcilar and fired a gun to the direction of the house for five times. Arslan was reported to be outside Istanbul during the incident.

The same day, dozens of people have reportedly attacked the party booths in Istanbul’s Avcilar, injuring 5 people including the party’s Avcilar representative Gokhan Yigit.

4 people were injured with knife while the other was subjected to gun attack, according to media.

Meanwhile, an unknown group of people have attacked opposition Felicity Party (SP) stand in Ankara marking the first of such attacks in Turkey’s 2018 election period.

SP and Good Party earlier allied to challenge President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the joint candidate of the ruling AK Party and MHP, in snap presidential elections on June 24, this year.
