A store in Turkey’s Ordu province was busted by a group of police officers a day after its owner who is a member of nationalist Grand Unity Party’s (BBP) party, criticized the Turkish government in a live TV interview.
Fatma Yümlü, a member of the BBP women’s committee, shared the security footage of the moment several police officers enter the store to detain her. At least five police officers are seen forcefully removing Yümlü from the store.
According to the Turkish media, she was released after spending several hours in custody at a police station.
“What crime did I commit exactly? Why was I arrested?” she tweeted.
Suçumun ne olduğunu hala bilmiyorum. Karakolda ifadem alınmadı! Suçlu isem neden ifadem alınmadı? Suçlu değilsem bu tavırlar neden? Veya nasıl bir suç işlemiş olabilirim? (Polislerin zor kullanarak ters kelepçe takıp götürdüğü güvenlik kamerası görüntüleri) pic.twitter.com/hGaFLTlM2N
