A total of 24,253 military members have been dismissed from the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) due to alleged links to the Gülen group since a coup attempt in July 2016, according to public relations officer Maj. Pınar Kara.

Kara also said at a press conference in Tuesday that investigations against 1,380 members of the military were currently underway.

Turkey accuses the Gulen group of orchestrating the failed coup, although it denies any involvement.

Turkey fired some 150,000 public servants in the aftermath of the failed coup due to alleged ties to terrorist organizations.
