A total of 24,256 military members have been dismissed from the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) due to alleged links to the Gülen group since a coup attempt in July 2016, according to the Defense Ministry, the T24 news portal reported.

Turkey accuses the group of orchestrating the failed coup, although it denies any involvement.

According to the report, investigations against 1185 more officers are still ongoing.

Turkey fired some 150,000 public servants in the aftermath of the failed coup due to alleged ties to terrorist organizations.
