Büşra Erdoğan, an eight-month pregnant woman, has been taken into police custody in Ayvalık district over her alleged links to Turkey’s Gulen group, which the government of accused of masterminding a coup attempt in 2016. The group denies any involvement.

According to the Bold news portal, Büşra’s husband, Halit Erdogan was also detained along with her wife over similar allegations.

Büşra had already spent fourteen months in prison from late 2016 to early 2018 for working at a Gulen-affiliated student dormitory before the coup attempt.
