Turkish police have arrested three YouTubers known for conducting street interviews with passersby on daily political developments in Turkey, the Karar daily reported.

Mehmet Koyuncu (@KendineMuhabir), Arif Kocabıyık (@ilavetv_) and Turan Kural (@sadevatandasyt) were arrested in dawn raids on Sunday.

According to the Turkish media, the Youtubers are accused of “inciting hatred and animosity against some groups” and publicly “denigrating the state and government.”

According to the Stockholm Center for Freedom’s “Jailed and Wanted Journalists in Turkey” database, 174 journalists are behind bars in Turkey and 167 are wanted and either in exile or at large.
