A photo posted by a Twitter user shows an elderly woman with walking difficulty waiting to stand trial at a courthouse in Turkey on membership in a terrorist organization.
“I took this photo in front of 2nd High Criminal Court at 17:02. Despite her walking difficulty, this elderly woman has been waiting around since morning to stand trial on terror accusations. Is this how you fight terrorism?” the tweeted used noted.
The elderly woman is believed to be accused of having a membership in the Gülen group, which the Turkish government accuses of masterminding a coup attempt in July 15, 2016. The group denies any involvement.
